A Note from Sarah: The French writer, Jean Cocteau said, "The poet doesn't invent. He listens." Often thought of as the 'poetry of light', photographs speak to me, often beseeching me to listen, to pay closer attention to my surroundings.

The creative process does not end when the paint dries. In the spirit of sustainability and not wanting to waste anything, I continue to find new uses for normally discarded objects. Paint drippings have become jewelry, paint-splattered paper towels have become decorative bowls, and bits and pieces of paintings, viewed through my camera lens have become cards and magnets, even clothing.
